Inkle woven strap

I've been working on turning some of my weaving into a small tote.  Said tote needed a strap:





Ta da!  I used my flip to weave this inkle band.  The pink/silver yarn is used on the edges and as the weft.  The purple metallic yarn is an elastic ribbon yarn.  I warped my loom directly using an 8 dent reed.  I wove using a Norwegian belt shuttle to carry the weft and beat it into place.
