I've been tagged for the first time (thanks Louiz!), I feel like I've hit an important blogger milestone!

Peeps I Want To Know More About meme

The rules: Each player answers the questions about themselves. At the end of the post, the player then tags 5-6 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know they’ve been tagged and asking them to read your blog. Let the person who tagged you know when you’ve posted your answer.

1) What was I doing ten years ago?
I was working for the State of Florida as a Fishery Biologist, which meant I spent > 50% of my time on a boat in the marshes and seagrass beds of a still remote and undeveloped area on the western side of Florida. I had some wild and amazing moments doing that work. Went places most people would never go, saw such natural beauty it still makes my heart swell thinking about it. Also had lots of frightening experiences (think alligators, sharks, stingrays, water spouts, and/or boat accidents) which were a big factor in my choosing to move on. The stress of doing that kind of work day after day 12 months a year sometimes in sickening heat or freezing cold gets to you.

2) What are five (non-work) things on my to-do list for today:
-copy an article from Summer 2007 Knit for my mom
-take L1 to piano class
-attempt to bath both girls in the tub at the same time
-make dinner (and try a new sweet and sour cabbage recipe)
-play with my new ipod (!)

3) Snacks I enjoy:
All things salty.

4) Things I would do if I were a billionaire:
Buy some land and try to live off of it (think homesteading). I would of course have a small herd of sheep with a border collie to herd them. Maybe a few goats as well. My husband would garden. I would shear, spin, dye, knit. We would make our own cheeses and beer and wine.
Buy and run a small knitting store that specialized in locally produced yarns.
And I would travel the world when time allowed.

Waitress (and I sucked at it)
